Sreyas Mohan

Sreyas Mohan is a Research Scientist at Meta since April 2022, with prior experience as a Research Intern at Google, where work focused on improving audio compression at low bitrates. As a Visiting Researcher at the Institute of Science and Technology Austria, Sreyas decoded a complex movie from mammalian retina. In the role of Strategy Researcher at Trexquant Investment LP, Sreyas designed and implemented machine-learning algorithms for stock return forecasts while working remotely from India. Additionally, Sreyas served as a Research Associate at the Simons Foundation, contributing to work on blind nonnegative source separation using biological neural networks, with findings published in COSYNE 2017. Sreyas holds a PhD in Machine Learning from NYU Center for Data Science and a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
