Sruthi Polali

Sruthi Polali is a Machine Learning Research Scientist and Software Engineer at Meta, specializing in machine learning problems within App Ads Delivery/Core ML and optimizations, and focusing on enhancing political ads transparency and detecting hate speech and misinformation. Prior to joining Meta in February 2020, Sruthi held various research roles, including Graduate Research Assistant at Rice University, where novel techniques for wireless neuron stimulation were developed. Experience also includes a Co-op position at Biogen, where an online analysis system for drug manufacturing quality control was built, and internships at Microsoft and the University of Münster, contributing to advancements in 3D printing technology and optical studies of embryonic development, respectively. Sruthi earned a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering - Applied Physics from Rice University and a combined BS+MS in Physics from the Indian Institute of Science Education & Research, Pune.
