Stefan Thoss

Stefan Thoss has extensive experience in data engineering, having held positions such as Data Engineering Manager at Upstart from March 2020 to February 2023 and currently at Meta, where Stefan manages Data Engineering for Instagram Analytics since September 2025. Prior to these roles, Stefan was Head of Data Platform at Overjet from April 2023 to February 2025 and accumulated valuable experience through internships and assistant roles in various organizations, including a tenure as a Staff Data Engineer. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Data-driven Decision Analytics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems from Technische Universität Darmstadt.
