Steve Mills is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and product development within the technology sector. Notably, Mills served as an OCP Incubation Committee Member for the Open Compute Project Foundation, contributing to technical direction and fostering collaboration among major cloud and hyperscale users. At Dell, Mills advanced the mechanical design of enterprise-class servers and led teams to deliver multiple products on time and within budget. In a role as Technical Lead - Mechanical at Meta, Mills focused on developing custom hyperscale IT solutions, notably the Open Rack infrastructure products. With a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, Mills has also held positions that emphasized mechanical design, consultation, and process optimization across various companies.
