Steve Robbins

Steve Robbins has over three decades of experience in optical engineering and technology management, starting with a role as Principal Optical Engineer at BAESYSTEMS from 1985 to 1996, where design work included optical systems for military applications such as the Eurofighter and F-22. Robbins progressed to Engineering Manager, focusing on cockpit displays and leading various R&D programs. Subsequent positions included Director of Optical Engineering for Microsoft's HoloLens from 2011 to 2020 and Director of Product Development at ImagineOptix Corporation until 2021. Currently, Robbins serves as an Optical Scientist at Meta. Education was completed at Exeter University in the UK.
