Steven Liu

Steven Liu, Ph.D., has extensive experience in the field of engineering and research, with a focus on advanced plasma etch equipment, microchip process development, and display manufacturing. At Lam Research, significant contributions were made as a Senior Product Engineer, supporting global chip manufacturers with next-generation technologies for IoT and memory applications. Prior roles include positions at Intel Corporation, where architectural advancements in microchips were facilitated, and at Apple, where Display Process Engineering efforts contributed to the successful production of iPhone display modules. Currently, Steven is leading process engineering for VR displays at Meta, overseeing multiple component suppliers globally. An academic background includes a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, alongside dual Bachelor's degrees in Physics and Chinese Studies, and a Master's in Physics from Leiden University.
