Steven Velat

Steven Velat is a Hardware Systems Technical Program Manager at Meta since October 2021, focusing on the development of new hardware products in the VR/AR space. Prior to this role, Steven held various positions at Microsoft from September 2017 to October 2021, including Principal Hardware Program Manager for the Analog Platform in Mixed Reality Input, where responsibilities included managing core web services for the Windows division and developing key technologies. Other roles at Microsoft included Senior Program Manager within the Operating Systems Group and leading efforts for input devices in Windows Mixed Reality and accessories for the HoloLens. Steven holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Florida, earned between 2005 and 2008.
