Stryker Buffington has developed a comprehensive background in virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence within various research and engineering roles. As a VR Research Assistant at UCSC Baskin School of Engineering, Stryker contributed to innovative physical therapy applications by integrating cutting-edge technologies and conducting extensive literature reviews. At Meta, Stryker worked on Project Aria, creating research prototypes that intersected AI and AR, while also programming a successful demonstration of novel haptic technology. Stryker continued to expand expertise as a Mixed Reality Software Engineer at Microsoft, enhancing military training applications through AR. Additional experience includes optimizing pandemic shopping behaviors as a Machine Learning Intern at AIST and co-founding GetVirtual, which supported small businesses in establishing online solutions.
