Summer Yue

Summer Yue is an accomplished leader in machine learning research with extensive experience in both industry and academia. At Scale AI, Summer ventured into machine learning with a focus on data generation and effective data curation strategies while overseeing a team of approximately 64 members. Currently serving as the Director of Alignment at Meta, Summer specializes in superintelligence alignment and safety research, following a collaboration between Meta and Scale. Prior experience includes significant roles at Google, where Summer contributed to large language model advancements as the LaMDA Quality Tech Lead and led research on Bard's Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) implementation. Summer's foundational work in investment research at The Wharton School, combined with a dual degree in Applied Science (Computer Science) and Economics, further enhances a strong analytical and technical background.
