Sungwon Hwang is currently a Research Scientist Intern at Meta since May 2025, following an internship at NAVER LABS Corp. from July to October 2024. Sungwon holds a Master of Engineering in Robotics from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, completed in 2022, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Artificial Intelligence at the same institution, anticipated to be completed in 2026. Sungwon also earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology in 2020 and graduated with a High School Diploma from the American Community School in Amman, Jordan in 2014.
