Sungwoo Park

Sungwoo Park is an experienced professional in the fields of computer science and quantitative analysis. Education includes a BS in Computer Science from Seoul National University and a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Numerical Analysis from the University of Maryland College Park. Career experience includes serving as a Computer Technician in the U.S. Army’s 18th MEDCOM, followed by an internship at Hynix. Sungwoo held the position of Quantitative Strategist at KCG Holdings, Inc. from May 2011 to July 2017 and worked as a Quantitative Researcher at Virtu Financial until February 2022. Currently, Sungwoo is a Machine Learning Engineer at Meta, focusing on the development of machine learning models for avatar facial features and 3D motion applications. Previous internship experience includes a summer role as a quantitative intern at Knight Capital Group.
