Thanh Dang has extensive experience in software engineering and research, beginning with a software developer role at RecallPlus in 2003 and advancing to positions of increasing responsibility, including staff software engineer at PayPal and engineering roles at Meta and Google. Initially working as a research assistant at NICTA and Portland State University, Thanh developed algorithms and conducted significant research in areas such as localization systems and wireless sensor networks. As a co-founder of Gibtr, Thanh contributed to creating a flexible gifting platform while also serving as an assistant professor at Washington State University Vancouver, leading a network research group and teaching graduate-level courses. Thanh holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from the University of Technology, Sydney, a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Portland State University, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Fuller Theological Seminary.
