Timo Ahonen

Timo Ahonen is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in computer vision and software engineering. Initially serving as a Researcher at the University of Oulu from May 2003 to February 2010, Timo also held various significant roles at Nokia Technologies, where responsibilities included Head of Analytics and Senior Manager of Imaging Software. Timo's leadership experience continued at Meta, first as Director of Engineering for Computer Vision from May 2017 to July 2018, and then as Software Engineering Manager from July 2018 to the present. Timo's educational background includes a Doctorate in Technology and a Master of Science, both obtained from the University of Oulu between 2000 and 2009. Additionally, Timo served on the board of Uniresta Oy from 2005 to 2009 and completed a traineeship at ETH Zürich in 2002.
