Tiya Bordia is an undergraduate research assistant at Aresty Research Center for Undergraduates at Rutgers University and an AI/ML Fellow at Cornell Tech through Break Through Tech, selected from over 1,500 applicants for the AI Program. Tiya has experience in conducting market research during a national externship and has served as a design researcher at Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Research Reserve, where an interactive ArcGIS web map was developed. Tiya has held several roles including IDEA Expeditions Fellow, Innovation Fellow Leader, and software engineer fellow, gaining skills in front-end development, product management, and facilitating STEAM activities as a Camp Leader. Tiya holds a high school diploma from Mahwah High School and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Rutgers University–New Brunswick.
