Todd Simpson

Todd Simpson is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and technology transactions. Simpson served as Counsel at Sidley Austin LLP from April 2016 to November 2021, focusing on various legal aspects within the Privacy & Cybersecurity, Technology & IP Transactions, and Patent Litigation groups. During a brief secondment at Facebook in mid-2021, Simpson provided product counsel services before joining Meta as Associate General Counsel, Product. In this role, Simpson supports Messenger by Meta, overseeing the development of new features, regulatory compliance, and age verification initiatives for the youth organization. Educational achievements include graduating as Valedictorian from Carlyle High School, obtaining a Juris Doctorate from Washington University in St. Louis, and earning a B.S. in Management Systems with minors in Computer Science and Economics, also as Valedictorian, from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
