Tyler Hurd

Tyler Hurd is an experienced professional in the fields of 3D animation and virtual reality, with a career spanning over a decade. Beginning as an Animator at Double Fine Productions, Tyler advanced to Senior Character TD and held various leadership roles, including Lead Artist and Art Director, while developing innovative rigging pipelines and animation tools. As an Independent Contractor, Tyler collaborated with multiple esteemed companies on diverse projects, including advertising and interactive media. In 2014, Tyler founded Gentle Manhands, creating acclaimed VR experiences. Currently serving as Creative Director at Meta, Tyler focuses on developing VR prototypes to enhance metaverse advancement. Tyler also has experience as a Developer in Residence at Oculus VR, contributing significantly to projects, including Beach Body Bros. Tyler holds an Associate’s Degree in 3D Animation from Expression College for Digital Arts.
