Tyler Smith

Tyler Smith is a highly experienced legal professional with a strong background in both private practice and public service. Smith began a legal career at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP as an associate from September 2004 to January 2010, following an internship at the Legal Aid Society in the summer of 2002. From February 2010 to May 2019, Smith served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Eastern District of New York, holding roles such as Deputy Chief in the International Narcotics and Money Laundering Section and working in various fraud and narcotics sections. Smith transitioned to Meta in May 2019, first as Associate General Counsel for Platform Enforcement and Litigation until May 2021, then as Associate General Counsel for Regulatory until June 2024. Smith earned a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School and holds a Bachelor's Degree in Neuroscience with high honors from Oberlin College.
