Ujjwal Raj is an experienced engineering manager with a strong background in software development and technological commercialization. Ujjwal began a career as an intern at CSIRO, where a prototyping algorithm for logistics optimization was developed. Subsequently, Ujjwal worked as a member of the technical staff at Veveo, focusing on video search, before joining Bell Labs Ventures as a technical specialist, driving technological commercialization initiatives based on Bell Labs research. At Microsoft, Ujjwal served as a senior software engineer, contributing to the Office Web App Core and Bing Search. Currently, Ujjwal holds the position of engineering manager at Meta, overseeing the serverless compute platform and managing high-scale distributed backend systems, including several critical infrastructure services.
