Software Engineering Intern- Data Experiences Intelligence Team

Vayun Mathur is a Computer Science student at the University of Southern California, expected to graduate in 2027. Vayun has gained significant experience in artificial intelligence and software engineering through various internships and research positions. Current involvement includes serving as an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at USC Center for AI in Society's Student Branch, focusing on developing a machine learning model to assess DNA damage from radiation exposure. Previous roles include Software Engineering Intern at Meta, AI & Quantum Computing Research Fellow at IBM, and AI Intern at HeveaConnect, where Vayun automated supplier-customer matching processes. Vayun also contributed to developing hospital bill identification models during an internship at AiDA Technologies. Additionally, Vayun is a Neo Scholar Finalist and a member of the USC Freehand Project, which provides 3D-printed prosthetic hands to children free of cost.
