Vida Hamd, Ph.D., has extensive experience in humanitarian advocacy, international law, and public policy. With a notable tenure at UNHCR from July 2005 to December 2010, Vida contributed significantly to the resettlement of vulnerable refugees in MENA countries. Subsequently, as a university lecturer from September 2012 to June 2015, Vida focused on International Human Rights Law, promoting interactive learning experiences. From 2011 to 2015, work as a Portfolio Coordinator and Research Officer at UNDP involved providing policy advice on constitutional reform and Rule of Law. Continued expertise was demonstrated as a Senior Policy Officer at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Lebanon and as an International Visiting Fellow at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law in 2015. Currently, Vida serves as Head of Public Policy for MENA at Meta, developing strategies to engage with various governmental and non-governmental entities. Vida holds a Doctorate of Law in International Law, awarded with Honours and a recommendation to publish from Beirut Arab University.
