Vinay S.

Vinay S. is an accomplished engineering leader and data scientist with extensive experience in building and managing high-performing teams. At Facebook, Vinay served in multiple roles, including Senior Engineering Manager, where leadership extended to 50 professionals, and Engineering Manager, responsible for developing recommendation systems for over a billion users. As Head of Search and Discovery at OpenSea, Vinay enhanced the stability and quality of search infrastructure for NFT assets. Currently, Vinay acts as an Advisor for Plus Power and holds the title of Senior Staff Software Engineer at Meta. Previous experience includes serving as Head of Machine Learning at Hawkfish LLC, leading a team during the Mike Bloomberg Presidential campaign, and conducting postdoctoral research at UC Berkeley. Vinay holds a PhD in Operations Research from Penn State University and a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Computational Biology from UC Berkeley.
