Vivek Nayak

Vivek Nayak is a skilled Software Engineer and Machine Learning Engineer with experience across various prestigious companies. At Snowflake from May 2023 to August 2023, Vivek contributed to the development of Snowpark by implementing PySpark-like dataframe APIs. Previously, at Goldman Sachs from July 2020 to June 2022, work involved software engineering tasks. Vivek also served as a Principal Data Scientist at Capital One in early 2025, focusing on training and inferencing Eagle adapters for Llama-3 models, and as a Senior Data Scientist optimizing LLM inference for production environments. Currently, Vivek is a Machine Learning Engineer at Meta since May 2025, specializing in LLM inference acceleration for edge devices. Additionally, practical research experience was gained as a Research Assistant at New York University during 2023. Vivek holds a dual degree (B.E. Hons and M.Sc Hons) in Computer Science and Mathematics from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a Master of Science from New York University, achieving notable academic success in both institutions.
