Wayne Piekarski

Wayne Piekarski has extensive experience in software development and engineering, with a focus on virtual reality and mobile computing. At WorldViz, Wayne served as Development Manager, overseeing the design and integration of large-scale virtual reality systems. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Lecturer and Co-Director of the Wearable Computer Lab at the University of South Australia, and as Manager of Research and Development at SE Network Access. Wayne transitioned to Qualcomm as a Staff Engineer, researching mobile computing, and subsequently held positions at Google as a Senior Developer Advocate for Fuchsia and Android. Currently, Wayne is a Software Engineer at Meta. Wayne holds a PhD in Augmented Reality and 3D User Interfaces from the University of South Australia.
