Wei D is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in applied research and engineering leadership within the technology sector. Wei D began a career at Microsoft as a Software Engineer focusing on acoustic modeling for speech recognition. Following this, Wei D worked at eBay as a Senior Applied Researcher, specializing in machine learning for shipping recommendations, and then held a Lead Member of Technical Staff position at Salesforce, concentrating on machine learning and deep learning for account security. Wei D continued to grow in leadership roles at Meta, initially as a Tech Lead for integrity ranking and recommendation systems, and currently serves as an Engineering Manager, leading the ranking team for Instagram Reels Relevance.
