Wei Dai has extensive experience in software engineering, with a focus on network protocols and system management. Wei worked at Arista Networks from April 2015 to April 2020 on the CloudEOS project, which involved developing a virtual router as a VM in the cloud, and later at Meta since April 2020, contributing to the Facebook Open Switching System (FBOSS) project. Wei also participated in the Google Summer of Code as a Student Software Developer, developing the "JsonShark," a web-based packet analysis tool. Wei's early career included research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University on optical burst switching networks and internships at Arista Networks and Siemens PLM Software. Wei holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine.
