Wei Gao has extensive experience in the field of image sensor technology, having held various engineering and management roles across multiple companies. Wei began as a Research Assistant at NRC, developing predictive techniques for CMOS APS image sensors and designing high dynamic range sensors. Wei later completed a Ph.D. at York University, focusing on the evaluation of radiation effects on image sensors. Wei continued to advance in the industry as a Staff Design and Characterization Engineer at Aptina and as a Principal Design and Characterization Engineer at ON Semiconductor. Currently, Wei serves as the Image Sensor Characterization Technical Lead Manager at Meta, after a tenure as a Sensor Characterization Engineer at Facebook. Wei's educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Image Sensor from York University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Queen's University.
