Weizhong Chen is an accomplished wireless communication expert with extensive experience in system architecture and algorithm development for advanced telecommunications technologies. At National Instruments, Weizhong worked as a Technical Consultant focusing on 5G gNB baseband architecture. Currently, as a Wireless Baseband System Architect at Meta, Weizhong has developed a comprehensive 5G uplink mMIMO processing algorithm chain, emphasizing cost-effectiveness and deployability. At XRComm, Weizhong serves as Chief Wireless System Architect, concentrating on PHY system architecture optimization for 5G and beyond. Previously, as Senior Director of Baseband SoC System Architecture at Futurewei Technologies, Weizhong led a team to create an industry-first full-floating point DSP core and vector accelerator, significantly enhancing performance and efficiency. Weizhong's technical career also includes notable roles at Motorola and Freescale Semiconductor, contributing to advancements in paging, Bluetooth, and WiFi baseband technologies. Weizhong holds a PhD in Wireless Communication and Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Texas A&M University.
