Wenlin Chen

Wenlin Chen is a seasoned professional in the field of machine learning and engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Meta since December 2017, Wenlin supports the ML modeling team within the core ads ranking organization, focusing on innovative technologies that foster connections between people and businesses. Previous roles include Research Scientist at Facebook (March 2016 - December 2017), where work centered on machine learning, and Research Assistant at Washington University in St. Louis (September 2011 - March 2016), with research interests in large-scale machine learning and numerous publications at top-tier conferences. Wenlin also gained experience through internships at Facebook, Google, and Microsoft, contributing to projects involving deep learning, recommender systems, and Internet advertising. Wenlin holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Science and Technology of China and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis.
