Whitney Deng

Whitney Deng is an experienced professional with a diverse background spanning research, quality control, styling, and software engineering. Beginning as a Research Intern at UCSF McNamara Lab, Whitney designed and executed a project on Chemokine Receptor 2, enhancing laboratory skills in animal husbandry, histology, and molecular techniques. Whitney later worked as a QC Associate at Genentech and held stylist responsibilities at Stitch Fix. Transitioning to tech, Whitney became a Software Engineer at MyFitnessPal and currently serves in a similar role at Meta. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Environmental Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, a Business and Economics Program from Fudan University, a Software Engineering Fellowship from Hackbright Academy, and ongoing studies at the University of Washington for a Certificate in Biotechnology Project Management.
