Win Hwangbo has extensive legal and military experience, beginning as a Captain in the US Army from June 1993 to June 1997, where Airborne and Ranger qualifications were obtained, and roles as a Tank Platoon Leader and Executive Officer were held. Following military service, Win Hwangbo served as a Law Clerk to Circuit Judge Edith H. Jones at the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit from July 2000 to July 2001. This was followed by a position at Morrison & Foerster LLP as an Associate from September 2001 to April 2006. Win Hwangbo then held several roles in corporate legal departments, working as Managing Counsel and Senior Attorney for Toshiba America Electronic Components, Inc. from April 2006 to August 2017, followed by Assistant General Counsel at Mercedes-Benz USA until January 2019. Currently, Win Hwangbo serves as Director & Associate General Counsel for Reality Labs at Meta. Win Hwangbo obtained a Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School between 1997 and 2000.
