Xavier Puig

Xavier Puig is a seasoned researcher and data scientist with a robust academic background and diverse professional experience. Puig earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where the thesis focused on building socially intelligent agents via simulation. Previous roles include serving as a visiting researcher at both MIT and the University of Toronto, where notable contributions included developing models for video and text alignment. As CEO of Meetion and a data scientist at Synergic Partners, Puig developed models to analyze flight purchasing behaviors. Experience as a research intern at Google further solidified expertise in AI. Most recently, Puig has taken on the role of Senior AI Research Scientist at Meta, focusing on developing embodied AI for robotics and the metaverse. Additionally, Puig holds an MBA from IESE Business School and has completed entrepreneurship and immersion programs at ESADE Business School.
