Xin Wu has extensive experience in the field of machine learning and software engineering. Xin began a career at Microsoft as a Software Engineer Intern focusing on language understanding with deep learning and text-to-speech research. Afterward, Xin served as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, specializing in Search Quality and Anti Spam from March 2013 to September 2018. Xin continued to build expertise as a Machine Learning Engineer at ByteDance, working on search, ads, and recommendation systems until November 2022. Subsequently, Xin contributed to Amazon Search Ads, developing CTR and Early Stage Ranking models until February 2025. Currently, Xin is a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Meta, focusing on Instagram Feed Retrieval. Xin holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University and a Master’s degree in Very Large Information Systems from Carnegie Mellon University.
