Yair Rubinstein

Yair Rubinstein, PhD, has a diverse background combining music, academia, and research. As an independent musician, Yair released several albums between 2009 and 2017 under Circle Into Square and Hush Hush Records. Yair's academic experience includes serving as a lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University, teaching cultural analysis and media literacy while using a multimodal pedagogical approach. At Duke University, Yair engaged in doctoral research focusing on the cultural impact of on-demand mobile platforms, and contributed to the Literature department as a teaching assistant, instructor, and writing consultant. Currently, Yair holds the position of Senior Manager of Research Partnerships at Meta. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University of Washington and a PhD in Literature with a focus on Media Studies from Duke University.
