Yalan Xing

Yalan Xing has extensive experience in research and data science, having worked at prominent institutions such as the University of Washington and Meta. As a Senior Fellow at the University of Washington's School of Medicine, Yalan focused on human naive embryonic stem cell research. In the role of Washington Research Foundation Innovation Postdoctoral Fellow, Yalan applied synthetic proteins to study epigenetic modifications in pre-implantational naive human ES cells. Further experience includes serving as a Statistical Consultant at Harborview Medical Center and a Data Scientist Intern at Microsoft, progressing to a Data Scientist II role focusing on Windows Defender Research. Yalan's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Zhejiang University, a Master of Science in Biostatistics from the University of Washington, and a PhD in Genetics from the University of Rochester. Currently, Yalan is a Data Scientist in the Ads Core ML team at Meta.
