Yan C. has extensive experience in optical engineering, beginning with a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, followed by a Master's degree and PhD in Optical Physics from Kansas State University and the University of Central Florida, respectively. At Microsoft as a Postdoctoral Researcher, Yan C. advanced waveguide-based holographic display technology for augmented reality. Yan C. continued to develop expertise at Kimball Electronics by designing automated optical inspection instruments for consumer electronics, and currently serves as a Senior Optical Engineer at Meta's Reality Labs.
