Yan Yan has a diverse background in engineering and machine learning, starting with a research assistant role at Iowa State University from August 2007 to July 2009. After earning a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering & Robotics from The Johns Hopkins University in 2014, Yan served as an editorial assistant for the journal Robotica from July 2012 to July 2013.
