Yang Chu

Yang Chu has extensive experience in materials science, having served in various roles across multiple prestigious organizations. As a Senior Materials Process Engineer at Meta since December 2021, Yang focuses on display and optics within the Reality Lab. Prior to this, Yang worked as a Material Engineer at Apple and as a Material Scientist at Capacitor Sciences, Inc., where notable achievements included the formulation of solvent combinations for high-quality thin films. Academic contributions include a Ph.D. research assistant role at The University of Akron, where Yang studied polystyrene-POSS hybrids and enhanced dye-sensitized solar cell efficiency. Yang’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and a Master of Science and Doctorate in Polymer Science from The University of Akron.
