Yang Yu has extensive experience in quantitative research, having held positions at prestigious organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Scientech Research LLC, and Meta. At Goldman Sachs, Yang served as an Associate and later as Vice President, focusing on quantitative alpha research and portfolio construction from September 2017 to December 2018. Following this, Yang worked as a Quantitative Researcher at Scientech Research LLC from November 2020 to May 2024, specializing in alpha research utilizing machine learning. Currently, Yang is a Staff Research Scientist at Meta, engaged in post-training for large language models since June 2024. Yang holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Statistics from Peking University, a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and a Ph.D. in Statistics and Operations Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
