Yang Zhao

Yang Zhao is an accomplished data scientist with extensive experience in bioinformatics, business analytics, and marketing. At Stanford University School of Medicine, Yang served as a Senior Data Scientist, conducting statistical analyses on high-throughput genomic sequencing data to advance cancer research. In the role at Synthego Corporation, Yang led the development of a machine learning model that significantly improved the quality control process in CRISPR-engineered cell production. Currently, Yang is a Data Scientist at Meta. Previous positions include work as a Statistical Analyst at MD Anderson Cancer Center and a Research Assistant at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Yang holds multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Biostatistics from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and multiple qualifications in Life Science and Biomedical Engineering from Central South University and The University of Texas at San Antonio.
