Yangyang Shi

Yangyang Shi is a Senior Staff Research Scientist and Tech Lead Manager at Meta since December 2019, where responsibilities include developing the next generation of on-device AI applications focused on Audio, Speech, and Natural Language Processing, emphasizing low-energy and low-latency execution for energy-constrained systems. Prior experience includes roles as Staff Research Scientist and Research Scientist at Mobvoi and Senior Scientist at Microsoft, with a focus on Bing Relevance and Spoken Language Understanding for Cortana. Yangyang completed a Ph.D. in Language Modeling and Natural Language Processing at Delft University of Technology, following a Master's degree from Southeast University, and holds an internship experience at Microsoft involving recurrent neural networks.
