Yaniv Stopnitzky

Yaniv Stopnitzky, PhD, is an experienced economist with a strong focus on development and environmental economics. Currently serving as Lead Quantitative Researcher at Meta, Yaniv Stopnitzky supports teams in Facebook Trust & Safety Research to enhance user interactions on the platform. Previous roles include Fellow at Insight Data Science, Social Protection Consultant for the United Nations Capital Development Fund, and Junior Professional Associate at The World Bank. Yaniv Stopnitzky holds a PhD in Environmental Economics from Yale University, an MSc with Distinction in Development Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science, and a BA in International & Area Studies and Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. Additionally, Yaniv Stopnitzky has held an associate professorship at the University of San Francisco and conducted research in social protection and decentralization in Laos.
