Yann LeCun

Yann LeCun serves as VP and Chief AI Scientist at Meta, leading the scientific and technical direction of Facebook AI Research since December 2013. Concurrently, LeCun is a Silver Professor of Computer Science at New York University, holding multiple professorships since 2003 and founding the NYU Center for Data Science. With a distinguished career in machine learning, AI, and computer vision, LeCun co-founded Element Inc and MuseAmi, focusing on biometric authentication and music technology, respectively. Previous roles include Director of AI Research at Facebook, Fellow at NEC Research Institute, and Department Head at AT&T Labs Research, where significant contributions to machine learning and computer vision were made. LeCun earned a PhD in Computer Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University and an Engineering Diploma from ESIEE Paris.
