Yao Li has extensive experience in software engineering, having worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Facebook from June 2020 to August 2020, where responsibilities included introducing a new page type for search ads using C++, enhancing marketplace desktop advertising capabilities, and creating end-to-end tests. Currently, Yao Li serves as a Software Engineer at Meta since March 2021, taking on a server lead role for Instagram professional calling, implementing audio calling features that increased monthly active users by 1 million, and migrating messaging logging systems, resulting in significant cost savings. Yao Li holds a Master of Computer Science degree from Rice University, attained between 2019 and 2021.
