Yu-Chia Chen

Yu-Chia Chen is a highly skilled professional with diverse experience in research, marketing, and technology. As a Marketing Intern at Voyagin, Yu-Chia developed business plans for entering the travel ecommerce market in Taiwan. As a Research Assistant at the University of Washington, under the guidance of Professor Marina Meilă, Yu-Chia focused on manifold learning and geometric data analysis with applications in molecular dynamics and astronomy. Yu-Chia's role as a Research Intern at Microsoft involved modeling large-scale temporal networks, contributing to innovative dynamic network models that influenced network intervention analysis, culminating in a paper accepted at KDD 2019. Currently serving as a Research Scientist at Meta, Yu-Chia develops LLM-based text generation models to enhance advertising performance. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Physics from National Taiwan University and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington.
