Yu Zhao

Yu Zhao is a seasoned software engineer with experience at Facebook from October 2018 to July 2022, and currently at Meta since August 2022. At Meta, Yu Zhao co-designed and launched the core LLM evaluation infrastructure for the Llama Eval Platform, which supports safety, capability, and multimodal evaluations for Llama models while facilitating the onboarding of numerous internal and open-source evaluations. Yu Zhao holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Systems and Information Management from Peking University, as well as a Master's degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, with additional experience from an exchange program at the City University of Hong Kong. Prior to professional roles, Yu Zhao worked as a research assistant at Peking University from September 2013 to March 2016.
