Yue Ma possesses extensive experience in software engineering and machine learning with a focus on natural language understanding and personalized recommendations. At Microsoft from June 2017 to August 2020, Yue Ma worked as a software engineer 2 and later as a Senior Applied Scientist, specializing in building Transformer-based models for intent classification and sequence tagging. Prior to Microsoft, Yue Ma served as an Engineer and then a Senior Engineer at Qualcomm from June 2013 to October 2016, where work centered on modem automation testing frameworks and performance automation for LTE and TDSCDMA technologies. Currently, since August 2021, Yue Ma is a Machine Learning Engineer at Meta, concentrating on personalized recommendations and ranking for the Facebook app. Yue Ma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering with Management from Beijing University of Post and Telecommunications and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
