Yuhua Chen

Yuhua Chen is an accomplished applied research scientist at Meta, specializing in computer vision and deep learning for augmented and virtual reality at Reality Labs since October 2020. Previously, Yuhua gained diverse experience as a research student at Disney Research in 2014 and as a student researcher and software engineer intern at Google from July 2019 to June 2020. Yuhua completed a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning at Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich, where Yuhua also earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology. Earlier education includes a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China and a stint as a visiting student at The University of Western Australia. During a significant period from September 2015 to September 2020, Yuhua served as a PhD candidate at the Computer Vision Lab ETH Zürich.
