Yunchao Yang

Yunchao Yang is a highly experienced software engineer and researcher with a strong background in AI, computer vision, and computational fluid dynamics. Currently serving as a Research Engineer at Meta, Yunchao contributes to AI research initiatives, particularly with fairseq2. Previously held the role of Senior Software Engineer Research Development at the University of Florida, focusing on deploying LLM inference microservices and conducting performance analysis for AI infrastructure. Prior experience includes significant roles at the University of Florida and Philips, where Yunchao developed algorithms for multi-phase flow simulations and software applications. Yunchao holds a Ph.D. in CFD from the University of Miami and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, alongside degrees in Thermal and Power Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology.
