Yunchen Pu

Yunchen Pu is a Research Scientist at Meta since April 2018, focusing on advanced machine learning models for ads ranking and personalization, specifically in areas such as multi-stage ranking and personalized retrieval. Prior experience includes a Research Internship at Facebook, where models for image generation and ads ranking were developed utilizing generative adversarial networks. Yunchen has also held positions as a Research Intern at NEC Laboratories America, developing a video captioning model, and at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, where a Bayesian deep deconvolutional model was implemented on the ImageNet dataset. Additionally, teaching and research assistant roles were undertaken at Duke University, which coincided with the completion of a PhD in Machine Learning. Academic credentials include dual Bachelor's Degrees in Automation Engineering Technology and Mathematics, as well as a Master's Degree in Image Processing and Pattern Recognition from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
