Zeliang Chen

Zeliang Chen holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from Rice University, where a Master of Science was also obtained, achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. Zeliang Chen has experience as Vice President of the USTC Student Union and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Surface Theory research group at the University of Science and Technology of China. Professional experience includes internships as a Software Engineer in Machine Learning at Facebook and a current position as Senior Staff Research Scientist at Meta. Additional roles include serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at Rice University focusing on core analysis for the oil and gas industry and as a Distinguished Speaker for the Society of Petrophysicists and Log Analysts. Zeliang Chen has also held the role of Treasurer for the Rice Student Chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
